On the order of the commander-in-chief of the Dubai Police, Maj Gen Abdullah Khalifa Alamari, the police is investigating the case.

Rashni's father, Jagdish Mulchandani, a resident of Vaishali Nagar, is a journalist. Moolchandani removes a monthly newspaper named JJ Health, while living in Ajmer, Rashni used to do journalism for her father's newspaper too. Moolchandani told that Rashni has just been Miss Pune, at the age of 16, he has been awarded a beauty award in Dubai Fashion Week.
