In the General Assembly meeting of the Pujya Sindhi Sahitya Panchayat Society, Udaipur, the Panchayat has now completely stopped pre-wedding shoots before the marriage. On the violation, the panchayat has issued orders to be excluded.
More than 100 members of the society participated in the meeting chaired by the Chairman of the Panchayat Tirathdas Nahbhani. Panchayat member and minister Dwarka Das Nebhhanani told that the members have taken an unprecedented decision with respect to the pre-Wedding shoot. He told that in the pre-wedding shoot in society, video and photo shoots are being displayed on screen at the time of reception of marriage, which is not compatible with social norms. The relationship of husband-wife is considered as a private and sacred bond. Displaying it publicly is a violation of social limitations. The shoot can sometimes cause many problems between the two parties in the future after marriage, which can be an unpleasant situation for both families. This proposal was presented by President Teerathdas Nabhanani only.
He said that according to sub-section (4) of section 7 of the constitution of the institution on the violation of the rule of any member, removal proceedings from Pujya Panchayat will be done. Tirathdas said that these steps have been taken in the direction of reform in society.
