Following the congressional defeat in the Lok Sabha elections and the decision to remain firm on the resignation of National President Rahul Gandhi, the resignation of Congress office bearers has begun in the country. Taking responsibility for the defeat in Rajasthan, the party's in-charge and the national secretary Tarun Kumar have resigned from the post.
However, the resignation has not yet been offered by leaders sitting in the big posts. State veteran in-charge Avinash Pandey, co-in-charge Vivek Bansal, is not ready to leave the post, while Chhattisgarh's in-charge PL Poonia and MP in charge Deepak Babariya have also resigned. It is believed that CM will not be resigned from the post of Deputy CM.
In Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, Congress formed governments in the assembly elections, but in the Lok Sabha elections, the Congress got only three seats from the three states. Congress's account from Rajasthan is not even open.
